A beautician offering botox she’d bought on the internet has escaped a jail sentence this week, highlighting the importance of proper qualifications.
She had been selling anti-wrinkle injections in the Scarborough area and claiming to have Harley Street training, even showing a certificate which led to her being convicted for fraud.
When a client complained to a solicitor about swelling she’d experienced after treatment, the police investigated and arrested the beautician.
The court sentenced her to 150 hours of community service although the judge said she would have faced prison had she caused her clients proven damage.
Botox Industry Regulation
Guidelines regulating the botox industry are set to tighten up and while quality training is not a legal requirement as yet, it appears that it soon will be.
