A question many of our prospective botox and fillers training delegates ask is:
How much practical experience will I get?
Quite rightly, this is one of the most common questions when talking to enquiring training delegates for the Foundation BOTOX® & Dermal Fillers Course, but our objective is always to include extensive hands-on practical experience, guided and supervised by our training team.
Typical Training Day
A typical course starts with delegates arriving at the training centre and clinic at 8.45am.
After registration and some initial Q&A, we get started in the clinic rooms with some initial demonstration by 9.30am.
From there, the rest of the day all the way until 5.30pm is focussed around small groups under close supervision building up delegates’ experience of treating patients with cosmetic injections. The most popular and effective treatment areas are covered, including:
- forehead lines,
- frown lines,
- crows’ feet,
- nose-to-mouth lines (nasolabial folds),
- mouth-to chin lines (marionette)
Botox and Filler Models
In the weeks preceding the course, the clinic-based team at SkinViva Training work to build up a schedule of real-life models who you will treat on the day.
Although quantifying the amount of time you spend actually injecting patients is difficult, our stated objective is that:
each delegate obtains their own injecting experience of treating each of the named areas that are included in the course
As well as carrying out supervised treatments under the strict guidance of the SkinViva Training Academy team, delegates are also taught by how to conduct an effective and thorough pre-treatment consultation with the patient. This includes how to draw out (sensitively) the client’s requirements and past history, how to put together an appropriate treatment plan for the customer and informed consent.
