Pressure on Nurses Revealed in NHS Report

lip injectionsThe National Nursing Research Unit report by NHS England has shown a significant increase in the number of nurses regularly working 12 hour shifts, with 52% of staff nurses working 12 hour shifts in 2009 compared to 31% 10 years ago.

The pressure of long days is linked to tiredness and stress for the nurses concerned and also identified a link between long hours and poorer quality of care.

The role appeals to those with a creative flair who enjoy working with people but are interested in taking more direct control of their work by setting up a local cosmetic treatment business.

Training is the starting point and SkinViva Training Academy offerss courses in injectable treatments from foundation to advanced level with ongoing support.

For nurses who are not able to prescribe, the post-training network has been invaluable for those who are able to prescribe or recommend a suitable prescriber.
