So you’ve decided you want to get into the non-surgical treatments industry – congratulations!
…and you’ve decided to invest some time and money in training – that is good news and you’re doing the right thing.
But just before you book a Botox training course, how do know you’ve picked the right one?
As the UK cosmetic treatments market edges towards better regulation, so there are more training schools springing up. You will find that there is a wide variation not just in prices and facilities but also in the standard of training.

How many people are in a training group?
This has a massive bearing on the amount of contact you will have with the trainer. Some courses cram as many delegates as they can into a session to maximise profits.
At SkinViva Training Academy, our maximum group size is only 5 delegates to a trainer which is leading in the marketplace (and we actually always do our best to aim for four!). This ensures a good quality experience for everybody who attends. -
How much practical experience is there?
Some courses are basically led from the front lecture-style. Others are distance learning. At SkinViva Training Academy, we provide training packs in advance to speed up the theroetical learning so that training on the day can involve as much practical as possible, with a combination of demonstrations and hands-one injecting experience.
All delegates work on real models (which we arrange) and we rotate you continuously throughout the day to keep you engaged and active. -
What support is available after the course?
We have a dedicated and extremely active private Facebook group, where delegates can ask questions and share tips among those at all stages of their aesthetic careers, with experienced SkinViva doctors and trainers providing their advice daily as well as other delegates.
In addition, we’re always available at the end of the phone or email to answer any questions you have –whether they’re clinical or business. -
What follow-on courses are there?
Most people start with the Foundation BOTOX® & Dermal Fillers Course which provides an excellent introduction to the most popular treatments.
However, as an established provider of skin treatment training courses, we then offer a range of options for delegates who wish to learn more, including lips, cheeks and tear trough courses.
We also offer 121 sessions with one of SkinViva’s Aesthetic Clinicians which are designed around the needs of those who want the ultimate focused learning experience. - Will I get business tips too?At SkinViva Training Academy, we understand that our delegates are not looking simply to further their learning, but to pursue a new independent career direction.
Our courses and course material include business training and tips as well as clinical. It’s something that our delegates have found invaluable and quite unique to our style of operation.
